Helped build, launch, and scale a UK-wide volunteering platform (govo.org), developing secure and scalable backend services and APIs using ReactJs, NestJS/Typescript, Prisma ORM and Postgres DB. Integrated AI/ML models to power intelligent charity discovery and volunteer matching, and implemented automated email workflows to track and communicate volunteer progress throughout onboarding, validation, and background checks.

Participated in Uchaguzi research Project a child application from the Ushahidi platform March 3rd to 7th 2013.

Uchaguzi platform

The Uchaguzi platform a modified version of the Ushahidi platform was deployed to monitor the 2013 Kenya general election, its aim was to ensure a free, fair, peaceful and credible election. The Uchaguzi project was a citizens’ initiative on elections where citizen took part in the reporting of incidences within the country in form of reports via SMS, emails or through the Uchaguzi website. Its goal is to create the simplest way of aggregating information from the public for use in crisis response.

I was placed in the Reports Team where we were in charge of verifying, authenticating and publishing reports in the system once due action was taken.

Developed an internal file organising system that eases the stress of file archiving, retrieval access, and updating. 
Accomplishments:
* Built a simple managerial admin panel that monitored information flow across departments using Vanilla Js, CSS, PHP, MySql.
