At Wallets Africa, I was responsible for planning and executing all digital marketing campaigns including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns. I also oversaw communications, collaborations and partnerships with companies, hubs and other vendor partners. In addition to these, I brainstormed on new and creative strategies geared towards customer acquisition and retention and measured the performance of these campaigns against the company's growth goals. I also collaborated with internal teams to work on messaging, creating landing pages and overseeing user experience.

At Pulse, I led a team of social media marketers and managed social media marketing campaigns for the brand and its clients alike. I was responsible for creating, curating and distributing relevant content and also community management across the marketing channels. I was in charge of monitoring trends and happenings and ensure proper time-to-market for distribution. 

While a lot of work was done for the Pulse brand and other Ringier brands, I also worked with clients in bringing some of their digital strategies to life. For all of these campaigns undertaken, I was also able to analyse and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revisiting these campaigns. I worked with the sales team to generate leads and revenue through special campaigns including storytelling via underused platforms. For these projects, I led the processes of ideation, conception, theme development and execution.

I was in charge of storytelling for businesses and brands at OMG Digital. This meant I was responsible for developing, writing, editing and distributing marketing and communications materials (which included writing press releases, blog posts and social media content to mention but a few). 

I worked directly with brands to come up with ideas for digital strategies, product launches and all other forms of online campaigns. I worked with other members of the team to translate creative direction and creative briefs into engaging and effective messaging and copy concepts. With the collaboration of other team members, I determined copy direction for digital products and experiences, online and offline branding and integrated marketing communications solutions.

VConnect, an online listing for businesses was creating a marketplace/e-commerce website that aggregated these businesses and their products/services. I led a team of in-house writers and freelancers to ensure that content produced needs the company’s needs and follows our style guide. 

I also served as a liaison between the company and the customers whose products and services we had to communicate with our users. Apart from this, I worked on various forms of written communication including press releases, blog articles and a host of others. My team came up with fresh, creative content formats that were accurate and of good quality.

I was responsible for creating content for social media, press releases, articles and reportage on events for the brand and its clients. Part of my work involved me creating strategies with a team to ensure effective public relations for events and product offerings from clients.

I was responsible for managing the social media platforms at 360Nobs, which meant creating, curating and distributing engaging content. I was able to manage the social media platforms, build followership and engagement numbers.
