Working with engineers

Lead SEO for Envato Elements, the subscription-based product. (elements.envato.com)
- Sustainably growth of meaningful organic traffic(traffic that converts) by double-digit each year.
- Several initiatives were designed and led, by being embedded in engineering, which proved to add several Million USD to the business, by increasing revenue or reducing risks and costs.
- Subject matter expert within the SEO team.
- Coach and mentor two junior SEO specialists.
- Directly managed an SEO data analyst.

For the first part of my tenure (until Apr '21), I was the Lead SEO for Envato Market, the company's marketplace product. (themeforest.net, codecanyon.net and others)

Role responsibilities included:
- Competitive analyses focused on content and technical gaps against our primary competitors.
- Managing projects with external service providers and contractors.
- Log File and GoogleBot journey analysis: Looking at billions of data points and getting actionables for improving Crawlability and Indexability.
- Proactive and reactive analyses when the traffic was not stable.

On top of that, I worked closely with Development, UX and content teams.

The role evolved into technical SEO, leading in key SEO initiatives.

Mercado Libre (NASDAQ: MELI) is present in 18 countries, the biggest e-commerce site in LATAM, with over +1B monthly visitors.

Role heavily focused on the technical side of  SEO;
Role responsibilities included:
- (Really) Close follow up in Organic Traffic. Performing deep analyses and understanding traffic fluctuations.
- Keywords research, looking for high volume and high conversion rate opportunities.
- Landing page optimization, working closely with the UX team.

As I was getting too many freelance job offers, partnered and founded an agency so we can work with more clients more professionally, joining efforts and knowledge.

Tasks include:
- Strategy design and execution-focused business and conversion-related searches.
- Content and link earning strategies.
- Design, domain, server and protocol migrations.
- Contact clients, from initial meetings to monthly meetings communicating results.

I managed a team of 5 people (devs, content writers and administration).
Worked with small to middle-size clients, including many that operate in several countries.

*Sold my share when relocating to Australia.

Worked as an intern as I needed professional experience to get my Electronic(s) Engineering Degree.

Tasks included:
- Analyzing errors, installing, commissioning and maintaining on CIENA long distance optic transport (DWDM) equipment.
- Performing network analysis and technical assistance on sites.

Main teacher in 12hr course.

I became fascinated and thrilled to understand how Google search works.

Some of my core skills:
- Keyword research focused on business and conversion related searches.
- OffPage optimization, taking care of the backlink profile, cleaning toxic links and designing a link earning strategy.
- OnPage optimization, everything that can be placed in the HTML and helps Google and users understand better your web. From meta tags and headings to images and URLs.
- Indexability, making sure that you tell Google what to be indexed and what not, key when going international. 
- Crawlability, if Google can't see every corner of your important pages, they will never rank. Critical for sites that grow exponentially such as e-commerce.
- Migrations: Protocol, domain and design migrations.
