About Gergely Gazda

Front-End Architect at Municipality of Budapest

I'm a software engineer, architect, and founder with 7+ years building products from the ground up. As Founder & Principal Consultant at Codenzyme, I lead a small team delivering civic tech for municipalities, NGOs, and international organisations, and I act as engineering manager and architect at the Digital Public Goods Alliance.

I'd love to mentor you in four areas:

Front-end architecture: React, Next.js, and JAMstack systems designed to scale and stay maintainable. Engineering management: setting technical direction, running agile teams (I've served as Scrum Master), reviewing work, and growing engineers. Greenfield development: taking a project from a blank repo to a shipped product, making the early architecture and tooling decisions that matter most. Startup software development: building lean, wearing many hats, and moving fast without accumulating crippling technical debt.

Whether you're an early-career developer, a first-time lead, or a founder figuring out your tech stack, I'm here to give practical, honest guidance. Book a session and let's work through your challenge together.

Sessions with Gergely Gazda

  • Software Team Efficiency in AI Age (30 min): In this session, we will explore the essential aspects of navigating the people side of engineering. Together we will address team dynamics, friction points, and the leadership decisions that often challenge even the most seasoned professionals. Drawing from my extensive background as a founder and engineering manager, I will share insights gained from leading delivery teams and facilitating agile ceremonies while serving as an architect and engineering advisor across various organizations. This hands-on experience equips me to transform complex team situations into productive environments. We will engage in meaningful discussions about resolving conflicts among engineers, providing impactful feedback, aligning teams around technical direction, and running efficient agile rituals. Additionally, we will tackle the challenge of balancing hands-on coding with effective people management and nurturing junior engineers into self-assured contributors.
