About Gianna Illenseer

Founder at Product Seed

Hi, I’m Gianna – a product leader and founder based in Edinburgh, with over 15 years of experience helping teams build thoughtful, valuable products.

My background spans both agency and in-house product roles, with the last 6+ years focused on B2B SaaS and data-rich platforms. I’ve worked across early-stage startups and scaling businesses, leading cross-functional teams and shaping product strategy in complex, often ambiguous environments.

At the heart of my work is a love for insight-led decision-making – helping teams understand their users, define problems clearly, and align behind the right bets. I’m now building my own consultancy, Product Seed, where I help early-stage teams lay strong product foundations.

I’m also passionate about mentoring. Whether you’re moving into your first product role, stepping up to senior, or trying to navigate chaos with more structure and confidence – I’d love to support you. Expect honest conversations, practical advice, and a bit of encouragement along the way.

What mentees say

“I went into the session not feeling fully prepared, but Gianna made it incredibly comfortable from the start. She was honest, encouraging, and brought such a positive energy that it felt more like a natural conversation than a formal mentor-mentee session which really helped.”
