VP, Design and User Research at Huma
I’m Giannis, a design leader working at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and policy for over 15 years. At Huma, I help governments and health systems adopt digital tools for prevention, triage, and chronic care, leading a team of designers who make complex systems accessible and human-centered.
Over the years, I’ve learned how to navigate high-stakes environments: from pitching to ministers and prime ministers, to shaping products that meet strict regulatory standards. I’m equally comfortable sketching wireframes in Figma as I am building national rollout strategies or guiding design teams through ambiguity.
As a mentor, I can help fellow designers: • Grow as a design leader while staying hands-on. • Balance strategy with execution in complex organizations. • Communicate design value to non-design stakeholders. • Build confidence in navigating healthcare, regulation, and cross-functional teams.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about health & endurance sports (triathlon, Ironman training), and I bring that same mindset of discipline, iteration, and curiosity to my mentorship.
