About Gor Apitsaryan

Sr. Product Designer at TradingView

Hi, I'm Gor, a senior product designer. Until recently I was at TradingView, working on a product that millions of traders and investors open every day.

I started out in design in 2019, mostly doing visual and graphic work, and moved fully into product design in 2022. The way I work leans heavily on cognitive and behavioral psychology: how attention actually moves, how people decide under uncertainty, what habits an interface quietly builds. Most design problems turn out to be behavior problems in a visual costume.

Things I'm glad to help with:

Portfolio reviews and interview prep, including the awkward "so, tell me about this project" part Moving from graphic or visual design into product and UX Using cognitive and behavioral psychology in real product decisions Working with research and metrics instead of guessing Talking to PMs and engineers, and defending design decisions without getting defensive

I had no one to ask when I was figuring all this out, so I try to be the person I needed back then. Sessions with me are pretty direct: honest feedback on real work, and one or two things you can actually try this week. English or Russian, whichever feels easier.
