About Minjin Kim
Business Design Lead at Designit
Minjin is a design leader well versed in design research and strategy, currently based in London.
She studied Marketing and psychology at University of British Columbia (UBC) and started her career in advertising as a strategic planner. Since then, she has worked in the space of advertising, experience design, and innovation throughout her career.
She believes we are in an incredible time to be a designer with challenging problem spaces often at the intersection of people, profit and planet. She believes people should always be at the heart of complex business challenges to drive human and commercial impact.
She has worked for companies like Fjord, Publicis.Sapient, john st advertising, and Ogilvy&Mather working in various cities such as Hong Kong, Toronto and now London. She has led numerous design-led strategy projects both the private and public sector alongside multidisciplinary design teams.
The days she takes off her design / strategy hat, she puts on her hat as a creator, and enjoys doing urban sketching and block printing.
