About Harold Park

Senior Software Engineer at Scope

Struggling to break into tech in this tough job market? Feeling stuck in your job search and overwhelmed by impostor syndrome?

You've come to the right place.

Hi, I'm Harold, and I’ve been developing websites and web apps professionally for 7+ years across diverse industries, focusing on front-end development.

Like many of you, I come from a non-traditional background. I was on the path to pharmacy school, then a teaching credential, before discovering coding. After completing a three-month, in-person JavaScript boot camp, I navigated a challenging job search and eventually landed my first role through an internship. I firmly believe that with time and dedication, you too can break into tech. 💪

I find deep fulfillment in helping others. I can support you with industry insights, pair programming, code reviews, project planning, and job search strategies. As a former teacher and mental health advocate, I combine empathy and the Socratic method to cater to your unique learning style, supercharge your growth, and help you reach your full potential. You’ll receive constructive feedback and encouragement to push past impostor syndrome and stay motivated.

  • Professional Tech Mentorship (45 min): Struggling to break into tech in this tough job market? Feeling stuck or overwhelmed by imposter syndrome? You've come to the right place. Hi, I'm Harold — a front-end developer with 7+ years of experience across industries like education, fashion, government, and manufacturing. Like many of you, I come from a non-traditional background. I was headed toward pharmacy school, then a teaching credential, before discovering coding. I attended an intensive three-month JavaScript boot camp and landed my first role through an internship. Having walked a similar path, I firmly believe that with time and dedication, you too can break into tech. I can support you with industry insights, pair programming, code reviews, capstone project planning, and job search strategies. As a former teacher and mental health advocate, my approach is rooted in empathy, the Socratic method, and constructive feedback. I adapt to your unique learning style and challenges — bringing an objective lens rather than pushing my own opinions. After all, coding is intensely subjective, and the best solutions come from collaboration and knowledge transfer. I look forward to meeting you
