Where previously I led our Data Experiences teams getting Atlassian’s Teamwork Graph off the ground and powering our “System of Work” with connected data-experiences across our product suite and partnerships (Figma, Github, GDrive, and others), now I lead our AI teams reimagining software development leveraging this new connected-data foundation even further.

Though there is lots of work I am proud of, I am especially proud of our partnership with Figma helping launch Dev Mode and take meaningful steps to help designers and developers collaborate together better than ever across our products.

Stepped into people management to better support and scale our design team as the pandemic hit. Took increased ownership of the Jira Software experience, setting direction and building new teams covering onboarding, core product initiatives, and our suite of native apps.

Later, made space, coached, and successfully promoted multiple new leaders within the teams to carry work forward as I shifted focus to get our burgeoning Data Experience initiatives off the ground - my first step deeply into the data science and machine learning space, where I hired and built a team of experts to deliver product exp's that help all teams using Jira be more effective with data-powered continuous improvement.

Led design for the next-gen Jira Software experience and helped launch it with our wildly successful "The New Jira" campaign. I expanded the scope of my role to encompass aspects of our Jira Mobile and Ecosystem efforts while helping mentor and support our growing design team.

Led design efforts for the next-gen Jira Software experience. This involved a reimagining of the product’s board, backlog, and reports capabilities, as well as significant foundational changes to the way that users can set up their projects and get started.

Helped design and launch Bitbucket Pipelines before moving to Jira Software where I led a series of high-impact sprints to envision how we might simplify the product’s core experiences without sacrificing the customisation power that teams love. I helped to get this funded and then got to work making that vision a reality with our teams.

As a contractor, I worked in a small startup building an app for the ‘maker movement’ that connects people with ideas to those that can create them. Joining as the team launched their MVP, I was initially responsible for gathering feedback and designing improvements to meet it. Later, I worked to design and develop the product’s next major iterations

As a contractor, I worked closely with the lead designer to identify, design, and develop enhancements to CM’s portfolio of sites; The Roar, Lost At E Minor, and Techly — three unique online publications that collectively reach an audience of ~3 million users monthly.

As a freelancer, I worked on the design and development of everything from complex web applications and online publications to ad-campaign microsites and cross-platform mobile apps. This involved working with a large variety of different clients and teams — small startups, established businesses, online publishers, universities, and agencies.

As a contractor, I worked in a small agency team with shifting responsibilities depending on the needs of the project. Initially, I was solely responsible for gathering requirements, sketching solutions, and creating wireframes or high-fidelity mockups to meet them, though eventually, my role expanded to include front-end development as well.
