Hey there! I have signed up to be a mentee and a mentor, because I believe growth is an ongoing journey and that each human being has great and quirky potential to bring to this world. I come from a humble background in the suburban Eastern Paris, worked young to finance my education and to help my family whilst aiming for new horizons. My life changed when I packed my bags and left Paris for London to work for Splunk, a big data Sillicon Valley unicorn - my language skills were more needed than in France, it was a no-brainer. I received valuable sales training across my career and can comfortably project myself selling any product as the big picture is consistently the same. Throughout my career working with the coolest and toughest pre-IPO tech startups, I sought mentorship from the most impressive and talented pros in the industry and fathers of open-source and SaaS. I have been working remotely since 2016, pre pandemic and I can advise on how to land a remote job in tech or share my best practices that allowed me to find my work-life balance. Finally I believe I can call myself a Unicorn Hunter, as through my career, I worked with pros who had banked mega IPOs. This was an ongoing objective of mine, until one of my employers went public and others were acquired, J understood the game is not in relying on a basic salary, but working for a company I believe enough into to put my money into and become its investor. This helped me be more accountable as a sales person and it turned out to be successful. I can help you understand the jargon of stock options at pre IPO companies, and why it is important to negotiate a good vesting package when you land a new job, do not limit yourself with basic salary expectations. You are not basic, and you can maximise your commissions and stock plan opportunities which are the most fruitful in a tech sales job.
