About Jaafar Khraizat

Founder / Lead Product Design Mentor & Recruiter at Refine

Hi, I’m Jaafar, Senior Product Designer, Strategist, and Mentor.

I help product designers who feel stuck to cut through the chaos, focus on what actually matters, and build real careers they’re proud of.

When I started, I had no roadmap. Just a mountain of tools, conflicting advice, and a whole lot of noise (and that was before the AI flood). I tried everything, portfolio tweaks, job boards, new tools, more content... nothing worked.

So I hit reset. I talked to real designers. Read outside the design bubble. Dug into strategy, business, and psychology. Slowly, I stopped chasing trends and started building timeless skills, the kind that actually move your career forward.

It worked. I got the dream job, the promotions, the freelance gigs. But more importantly, I got clarity.

And now I help others find the same.

Through writing, coaching, and my upcoming platform Refine, I’m building tools to help designers grow with focus, not overwhelm.

What mentees say

“I received very insightful suggestions on how to improve the quality of my portfolio project and how to thoughtfully create a few more projects to round out my design experience. Jaafar also recommended a portfolio resource and book for further learning on how to measure UX. I got a lot of value from our meeting and I would happily book another session.”

“Jaafar has extensive knowledge and experience reviewing CVs and Portfolios. His feedback was insightful and helped me realizing about a couple of blind spots in my docs... even after months reviewing them! Outstanding.”
