I’m Janet Covey, a Senior Design Leader who’s passionate about transforming the way design drives impact in businesses, from fast-moving startups to established enterprises. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on building and leading teams that create meaningful, user-centered products and experiences. I’m known for elevating design processes, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that creativity translates into real business results.
At Bakkt, I led the design team through a period of rapid growth, shaping an approach that blended efficiency with creativity. Prior to that, I headed product design at Bank of the West, where I focused on creating seamless digital experiences that connected with users. My time at JPMorgan Chase further deepened my expertise in design systems and creative direction, where I guided the development of cohesive, scalable solutions that reached millions.
Beyond the corporate world, I’ve also had the opportunity to work on Museum Experience Design (MXD) projects across the country. These projects have allowed me to merge my passion for design with creating immersive, interactive experiences that engage and educate museum visitors in new and exciting ways.
I’m deeply committed to human-centered design and enjoy leading teams toward innovative solutions that resonate with people, whether it’s in the tech world or a museum gallery.
