About Jared Hall-Dugas

Lead Product Designer at National Grid

I'm Jared, a Lead UX Designer with 20 years of experience shipping digital products across interactive entertainment (Lord of the Rings Online), defense systems (Kessel Run / U.S. Air Force), and enterprise analytics (National Grid).

Right now I'm focused on the intersection of AI and design — specifically how AI-augmented prototyping is changing the way design teams work. I've built a stress-response wearable (Choose Band) entirely with AI assistance, created an open-source design system for AI interfaces (Aioli), and I'm developing an AI-powered mutual aid platform (Project Grace).

I can help you with: • Using AI tools to accelerate your design workflow • Turning messy requirements into shippable prototypes fast • Systems thinking — seeing how the pieces of a product connect • Navigating enterprise UX and working with complex stakeholder environments • Career growth from mid-level to senior/lead design roles

I believe the best designers in 2026 aren't being replaced by AI — they're using it to do work that wasn't possible before. I'd love to help you get there.
