First design manager at Duolingo (joined when the team was under 20, left when it was over 120). Recruited, hired, and managed dozens of product designers, illustrators, animators, brand designers, content designers, UX researchers, and program managers on the mighty Duolingo Design team. Managed the Monetization product design team for 2+ years post-IPO.

I co-founded and led design for Cotton Bureau, a merchandise platform for creative communities. I made nearly all design/brand decisions, co-led all product and company strategy decision-making, recruited sellers to the platform, hired and managed employees, cooked lunch, swept the floor, dealt with the landlord, etc.
