Hi friends 👋!

My name is Jennifer, I am UX Designer at KPMG Canada -- I’ve been with the Company since July 2021, started off as an Associate UX Designer, and recently promoted to UX Designer II! Before this, I was an accountant (CPA, CA) for roughly 5 years. During my transition, I felt confused about breaking into the world of UX/tech, I made mistakes, learned from others, I had mentors who guided me along the way and now, I’d love to give back and share this with you.

For the career changers, I’d love to listen to your story, answer your questions, be your sounding board and share my experiences (networking, applying to jobs, portfolio review/projects, internships etc) to help you grow and get your footing in the design world!

For the early-stage designers or anyone else, I’d love to do the same! I work in a start-up environment, with evolving processes, working closely with product folk, developers, and a third party design consultancy firm, helping to grow the design team, inheriting designs, going through multiple release cycles and most recently taking care of the design system.
