Senior Designer and Product Manager at Code for Canada
Jesse Hammond is a senior designer and researcher with Code for Canada focusing on building digital skill capacity within the Canadian government. They earned a Honours Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and a Master’s of Digital Experience and Innovation from the University of Waterloo.
Jesse focuses on understanding and solving for complex problems through co-creation, community-based approaches, and inclusive design practices. They specialize in interdisciplinary collaboration and the ethical application of emerging technologies within government.
Dedicated to improving society through design, they were awarded the Knights Art Foundation Fellowship and co-developed the My One Question Is podcast. With the support of Apathy is Boring’s RISE program Jesse co-developed Eco-Feels, an event exploring the emotional impact of climate change.
