Jesslyn currently serves as a VP, Head of Design for Dealer in Auto Finance at Capital One.
Prior to Capital One, Jesslyn served as a design leader at USAA supporting Property Innovation, Small Business Insurance, and P&C compliance workstreams. She holds a keen interest in design thinking, design research, experience strategy, and business innovation. Jesslyn's style of work is primarily based on the belief that the best ideas come out of diverse yet collaborative teams, where divergent thinking is embraced and experimentation is encouraged to create delightful experiences for members and the business.
Jesslyn began her consulting career in Atlanta, GA as a software engineer serving a variety of clients including USPS, MDAnderson, Hilton Hotels, Bank of America, and PayPal. While piloting new products with end-users, she quickly discovered her passion to enhance the experience of the individuals using developed products to deliver on business objectives and shifted to focus on democratizing the adoption of User Centered Design methods in the mid-2000s.
Prior to joining USAA, Jesslyn led a design and innovation practice at a boutique digital agency and helped companies like Guidewire, PepsiCo, Meijer, and GameStop craft engaging experiences through human centered design and Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodolgy. Passionate about the Dallas design community, Jesslyn also co-organizes the local chapter of Ladies that UX.
Jesslyn grew up in the Atlanta, GA metroplex and studied Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. When not at work, Jesslyn loves to run and enjoys traveling!
