Brand design lead for the video infrastructure product, Mux. I helped lead a total rebrand of the company’s corporate identity while managing a team of brand-focused designers.

I started the brand design team, instituted best practices, made hiring decisions, and managed a team of designers focused on evolving the Mural brand. I also led early efforts to begin a complete redesign of the Mural brand by vetting and briefing agencies, bringing in executive stakeholders at key decision points, and rallying the team around the goal of defining, documenting, and evolving Mural's brand presence across both product and marketing touchpoints.

Art director on a small specialized team of brand leads. We worked to expand and define the Mailchimp brand in all areas– marketing, web, in-app, product marketing, and more. Led internal teams as well as agency partners in all manner of work including:

• Leading development of Mailchimp’s custom brand typeface, Means
• Audio and sound identity conception and development
• Integration and consideration of the Mailchimp brand in the app
•  Art direction and design of sub-brand identities like Mailchimp Presents, Mailchimp Developers, and Mailchimp’s Partner Program
• Mailchimp Presents social and web work
• System for branded intelligence used in-app and in marketing
• Onboarded 100+ designers, partners, and agencies to the Mailchimp brand

Key member of of the award winning 2018 Mailchimp rebrand team. Filled role as a key brand voice, design and illustration curator, and direct liaison between our in-house team and our agency partners.

In my role, I often worked with product folks, marketing peeps, design systems nerds, writing teams, and executive leadership to ensure the Mailchimp voice was thoughtfully applied and considered. I similarly worked to document the rules and decisions we made so that we could break them all later.

Designer working on a quickly growing team on brand and product marketing efforts. Helped support the launch of new products and features inside the Mailchimp app. Worked to integrate the brand more naturally into Mailchimp app experiences.

Lead brand designer and illustrator for the location-based social media app Yik Yak. Sole brand and marketing designer working on too many things at once. Responsible for brand strategy, brand design, illustration, brand and product marketing, and implementing the brand into the product experience.

Great times were had in this role until the company and product closed its doors.
