• Design and develop econometric models in Python for the attribution and optimization of online and traditional marketing efforts. Recommendations from these models led to data-drive decisions on marketing campaigns. 
    • Developed Marketing Mix Models on AWS SageMaker via Docker to increase execution speed and throughput. Our achievements were lauded by the Marketing Science team at Meta.
    • Analyze credit card transactions on Impala (SQL) to develop KPIs that help the understanding of customer behavior across time and improve financial literacy.   
    • Design marketing experiments (e.g. A/B testing, Lift) to analyze the effect of marketing efforts on digital transactions, branding improvement, and customer loyalty.

Work as a contractor for IBM on the "Economista Artificial" (Artificial Economist) project. My role included the following tasks.
    • Develop and execute the three analytical layers for text mining and behavioral finance prediction in Python. Both models showed an accuracy of over 75%.
    • Optimize the execution time of the classification models through parallel programming. Decreasing running time by 60% and memory errors by 90%.
    • Streamline ETL processes on IBM CloudPak to extract and clean texts via Web Scraping, NLP, and SQL reducing the time by 70% and processing over 200 K documents.

Capstone Project 
    • Manage the development team of a customized Natural Language Processing (NLP) application to analyze survey responses about the workplace environment. 
    • Develop the methodology and NLP application in Python using advanced NLP techniques (Word2Vec, FastText) to deliver new insights about work culture.  Several of the insights obtained from the model were comparable to insights obtained from an HR psychologist.

•	Streamlined bi-monthly financial reports in Python, which decreased the operational time by 50 man-hours. The reports informed and validated organizational and strategic decisions.
•	Evaluated and presented detailed reports about the success of the seed grant program to the leadership board, identifying the KPIs and contributing factors for its success.
•	Improved the information system within the business development department, enhancing its capacity to share project information across departments. This improvement was lauded by the leadership at the Global Resilience Institute.

•	Implement the PMP project life cycle on over 60+ projects of sale/procurement of used plant and laboratory equipment with a value of $4 M, keeping project ownership from initial phases to project closure. Proficient at achieving measurable goals, troubleshooting, and ensuring client expectations were met.
•	Gain market intelligence and develop corresponding strategies that lead to increased revenue of over $100 K on equipment sale.
•	Cultivate sustainable professional business relationships with multinational corporate sponsors, achieving an increase of 25% in customer response and 15% in customer satisfaction.
•	Organize the work across the company to ensure project tasks were executed in due time. This included Sales, Auctions, Marketing, Finance, Logistics and Territory Manager departments.

• Codirect 3 undergraduate thesis in the Chemical Engineering Department.
• Redefine the thematic of the Design of Experiments course by adding additional courses on computational tools (Matlab/Minitab) which gave a more complete preparation to the students.
• Increase the course level and interest of the students. Positive feedback about the course increased by 30%.

•	Design and codify different sections of the logic control in Honeywell controllers for two pilot plants. This project was successfully implemented at the Petroleum Institute in Colombia.
•	Configure wireless sensors to measure relevant process metrics for several oil fields.
•	Develop automatic Excel reports for data wrangling, data analysis, and simulations.
