Jon R. Fernandez is a Design Strategist with 8+ years of professional experience. He is based in Brussels (Belgium), currently working as an Experience Designer in the European headquarter of FedEx Express. His human-centered design work is focused on the areas of Sustainability, Smart Mobility and Future Cities.
Prior to joining FedEx, Jon worked in several Innovation and Strategic Business positions in Spain, Indonesia and Australia. Additionally, he has been an Assistant lecturer in international universities like the University of Sydney or the United Nations University in Somalia, in the areas of Strategic Design and Business Innovation.
Jon is an hybrid thinker that holds a Bachelor and a Master Degree in Civil Engineering, a Master Degree in Marketing Management and a Postgraduate degree in International Business. Additionally, Jon is now enrolled in a Master in Philosophy for Contemporary Challenges, analyzing topics like Climate Change or Digital Humanities from a philosophical perspective.
In his free time, he volunteers as a start-up mentor and continues building his skills in the intersection between Business Strategy and Design.
