Designer and Researcher at U.S. Digital Service
Hi, I’m Kaleigh and I’ve spent over five years in civic tech designing digital services, from both the contractor perspective and now as a White House employee with U.S. Digital Service.
I’ve been a manager, team lead, and individual contributor on projects. I’ve dealt with seemingly insurmountable government hurdles and have navigated through sticky team dynamics, too.
Civic tech is a small, weird space, so I’m always happy to help with: An overview of the ecosystem Where to look for jobs How to write a government style resume What working for and in the government is really like How to transition from commercial work to civic work
“Finding Kaleigh on ADPList felt like finding a unicorn while out on a hike. As a UX/product designer with an interest in civic tech/government design work that isn't DoD (but has a DoD background), I knew I had to either get really creative with people as possible mentors, or find someone in the field, and when it was looking like the former might be the only option for me...there Kaleigh was.”
“I had an amazing conversation with Kaleigh that was insightful and enjoyable. She is thoughtful, generous, and happy to help. She provided valuable guidance to help me reach my goals and shared so many useful resources that I know will help me in my journey. I am incredibly grateful for Kaleigh’s time and expertise and I look forward to future conversations.”
