About kamal mann
Senior Staff Engineer at Apple Inc
A seasoned engineer turned architect, two decades deep in shaping resilient systems where AI meets security. Not just designing tech, but wiring smart layers into live production floors. Think fast networks that learn while staying locked down. When machines must act without fail, my work ensures they do. From concept to code, trust runs through every circuit. Real time demands precision - this is how systems earn it. Right now, my work focuses on creating tools that automate testing inside factories while devices check themselves during production - this spans every Apple product from iPhones to Macs, even AR and VR gear. Moving beyond basics, I shape systems that stretch from small hardware units up to full cloud networks, making sure they grow smoothly. Instead of just pushing data through, I fine-tune how machine learning tasks run directly on Apple’s own chips, especially unlocking speed via GPU power. Alongside that, I construct apps spread across many devices, linked reliably using wireless tech like WiFi and Bluetooth signals. A guide shapes how you move beyond writing code into seeing whole systems. Each step builds on the last without naming it that way. Learning hides in choices - how you arrange parts matters more than the pieces themselves.
