User Experience Researcher at User Research International
I am a computer science engineer turned human-computer interaction researcher, seeking ways to use technology as a medium to solve societal issues while centering lived human experiences throughout the research and design process. My research positionality is a culmination of my educational background & career, my interests in user research and design, and who I am as a human - desiring to meaningfully contribute towards the design of technological systems that can positively impact the lives of people who are truly in need.
Transitioning from academia to industry is a leap I believe cannot be made without guidance from those who have crossed the bridge. Connecting with industry-transitioned researchers early on in the Ph.D. journey helped me navigate such a transition. Now, I wish to share what I learned with those who, like me, seek mentors to transition from academia to industry.
