Hello, I'm Kanika, and I bring over five years of extensive experience as a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Researcher. Throughout my professional journey, my unwavering motivation has been to focus on the needs of marginalized communities and individuals with disabilities. My mission has always been clear: to develop innovative solutions that can genuinely impact and improve the lives of these underserved populations.

I'm actively pursuing my Ph.D. in HCI, deepening my knowledge and expertise in this field. Over the years, I've had the privilege of leading and managing large teams, where I've played a pivotal role in overseeing the Research and Development (R&D) processes for large-scale products. Additionally, I've successfully taken on the challenge of single-handedly spearheading projects, guiding them from the initial research phase to creating fully functional, high-fidelity prototypes.

Mentoring is another passion of mine, and I take great pride in nurturing the skills and talents of junior designers. I find immense satisfaction in helping them grow and succeed in their HCI endeavors. Furthermore, I've organized and facilitated company-wide workshops, research initiatives, and sprints, consistently delivering tangible and impactful results.

In terms of my core competencies, I specialise in four key areas:

Qualitative Research: I have a deep understanding of qualitative research methodologies, enabling me to uncover valuable insights into user behavior, preferences, and needs. This knowledge forms the foundation of user-centered design.

Product Research: My experience in product research equips me to conduct comprehensive studies that inform the development of functional but also meaningful, and inclusive products.

Data Analysis: I have a strong analytical acumen, allowing me to extract meaningful patterns and trends from complex data sets. This skill is pivotal in translating research findings into actionable design decisions.

Usability Testing: I am well-versed in usability testing, a critical phase in ensuring that products are user-friendly and accessible. I conduct rigorous testing to refine designs and optimize user experiences.
