About Karl Koch

Senior Product Designer at DuckDuckGo

I'm Karl and I'm a software designer, developer, writer, tinkerer, and musician. Currently I’m working at DuckDuckGo to build a safer and more private internet.

Previously I was a lead designer at Moneybox focused on our DesignOps processes and building the Design Systems team. Before that I worked at several startups across property tech at HomeHero and renewable energy at NeuerEnergy where I was a founding member.

I’m more of a design engineer than I am a pure designer.

I can help support on switching to design from alternative careers, managing side projects, being a design-development advocate, building and managing design systems or leading your team.

If you're interested in a career switch, check out my post first as it might help stimulate some questions! https://kejk.tech/thoughts/shift-gears-switch-careers
