About Kevin Bui

Senior Content Designer at Atlassian

Update April 24, 2024:

Hey folks! Unfortunately I've got a lot going on at work, so I've decided to take a break from ADPList for now. Sorry!

==================================

I'm a senior content designer at Atlassian, where I've written content for Jira Cloud, Jira Mobile, and the Automation platform.

My passion for UX writing and content design comes from explaining complex things using simple language - whether that's explaining software to users, teaching board games to friends, or translating government docs for my elderly parents.

I'm happy to chat with anyone about anything, but if you'd like some ideas, here are some ways I can help you:

• Aspiring UX writers/content designers: Talk to me about breaking into the field and improving your resume & portfolio.

• Content folks: Talk to me about leveling up your skills, dealing with stakeholders, or if you just need a safe space to chat about your work.

• Designers, PMs, and engineers: Talk to me if you want tips on working with a content designer, or if you just want to learn about our craft.

What mentees say

“Kevin is very knowledgeable and encouraging. He shared with me clear and actionable feedback on my resume and resources that can help me improve my content design portfolio. Honest and prepared, he definitely made me feel more positive about the job search.”
Giulia Clemente, UX Designer at General Assembly

“I had a few mentorship sessions with Kevin in the last year. Kevin was one of the kindest mentors I have come across on ADP. He is always available to give advice and shows a genuine interest in your progress. The sessions I had with him were before I worked on my portfolio and resume, and hence really valuable in deciding what I should put on there.”
Namrata Uchil, UX Writer/Content Designer at CleverTap

“The mentorship with Kevin was very insightful and useful. His guidance provided valuable perspectives and strategies for personal and professional growth. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from his expertise, and I'm confident it will positively impact my development journey.”
Ligi Grau, Graduate UX Designer at GA
