I’ve been a UX designer since 2004 which amounts to more than 18 years experience. During that time I have worked for digital agencies as well as working for in house UX teams. I have worked in the private and public sector, and as a full time employee and freelancer across a variety of industries.

As a team leader/manager it was my job to help each team member to do their job to deliver high quality design work. Over the years I've realised that the thing I’ve enjoyed most about all the places I’ve worked, are the relationships you build with the people you work with and the impact that you can have on their enjoyment and development.

​In September 2018 my girlfriend and I flew to Vietnam with our bicycles and cycled back to our home in Amsterdam. We used this opportunity to create "Cycle For Good" and raise money for 26 Burmese refugee children so that they could go to school, have a place to live and food to eat. It took us 2 years to get home and was of course an amazing experience.

Since 2021 I've been working as a mentor for UX designer students at CareerFoundry and also working freelance as a workshop designer and facilitator. In that role I help teams collaborate effectively to make decisions, solve problems and leave with tangible results.
