I'm a Content Design Manager at Pinterest. I've worked at Amazon (on Alexa and at IMDb), at Facebook and at a startup called Likewise. Before tech, I was an academic, teaching in universities and prisons, and a journalist. This may seem like a meandering career, but the through-line is using my core strength, language, to make sense of the world for people. As a completely word-and-culture-obsessed person, I unwind from my day job in Content Design by doing more writing, except when I'm reading or consuming streaming content. Occasionally I remember my physical self and cook, or go for a walk or something - mostly because my dog insists.
