About Kriti Faujdar

Lead Product Manager, Agentic Systems at Yelp

I am Kriti. I work on applied machine learning and agentic systems at Yelp, after leading AI security research and product at Microsoft.

I have spent over a decade turning AI research into production systems people actually depend on. I started as a research scientist at ISRO, where I spent seven years building anomaly detection and autonomous operations software across more than 20 satellite missions, work where a model failure is not a bad user experience but a lost spacecraft. Moving from a national space agency to Big Tech was its own education: learning to translate deep research into shipped product on commercial timelines, and to do it through other people rather than alone. At Microsoft I was the founding product manager for Azure AI Models-as-a-Service, building the model catalog from zero into a business that offered 50+ foundation models to developers as pay-as-you-go APIs. I went on to lead the Security Foundation Model initiative, where my team shipped MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, Microsoft's first cybersecurity-specialized model. I also hold an MS in Computer Science from UMass Amherst.

I would like to work with professionals growing into bigger roles, experienced leaders and founders, and people changing careers or countries. I am most useful on getting research into production, building and leading cross-functional teams, making the jump from research to industry, and figuring out a direction when your background doesn't fit a standard track.
