About Lantian Li

UX Researcher at Meta

Hi! I'm a full-time mixed-methods UX researcher at Meta, and before this, I spent two years as a contract UXR at Google. I hold a PhD in Sociology and an MS in Statistics from Northwestern University, and I made the transition from academia to tech after graduation. Currently, I'm also pursuing an online MS in Computer Science in my spare time.

Throughout my journey, I've received countless LinkedIn coffee chat requests about two key transitions I navigated: 1️⃣ Moving from academia to tech as a UX researcher 2️⃣ Transitioning from a contract role to full-time in a tough job market

Having had many of these conversations, I realized I could provide more structured and impactful guidance by offering regular mentoring sessions here on ADPList—a platform that was very valuable to me when I was making these career moves. If you're exploring similar transitions or seeking advice on post-academia career path, I'd love to help!

Looking forward to connecting! 😊

p.s., please note that I cannot answer questions related to interviews at my current company, thanks for your understanding!
