Design Research & Strategy at Intuit, formerly IDEO, Airbus
I've worked across many facets of design & innovation: product design, user research, concepts, prototypes, strategy. Back in the day even mechanical engineering of robotics and mechanisms. I've lead teams, run projects, and programs at Intuit, IDEO, and Airbus. I've been a consultant and a client. I've earned some design accolades (Red Dot 2022, 2004, FastCo 2022 + 2017, iF 2022, IDSA 2011, Neocon 2010, 2008), been on a leadership-award-winning team at Intuit, and hold numerous design & utility patents from IDEO and Intuit.
I'm presently on the Design Research team for QuickBooks at Intuit.
If this hodgepodge of experience makes you roll your eyes at my lack of clear career direction, then best of luck to you. But if sounds like the kind of story you might want to look back on someday, let's chat! I might want to dissuade you from your life choices, but who knows?
For a preview of what talking with me might be like, check out the Rock n' Roll Research podcast episode #62 (see website link)
“Discover how AI is transforming the workplace and the significance of translating my passion into the company's needs.”
“Larry shared insights on his wide experiences in the UX field and gave helpful advice for new grads on doing research.”
“Larry is a great person to chat with if you're interested in switching from design to research & strategy. Not only did I enjoy learning about his experiences, but I appreciate his feedback on how I can leverage my design background when seeking research roles. I also enjoyed learning about how he applies AI tools and concepts in his work.”
