I'm Laura, a strategic thinker and product designer with a background from Design Academy Eindhoven, where I honed my skills in critical design thinking. I'm certified in UX/UI and currently work in-house as the sole designer on a IoT software solution, bridging the gap between product strategy and pixel-perfect execution. My role requires wearing many hats: from research and design to advocating for user needs and aligning cross-functional teams.
The creative industry can be tough: recognition isn’t always immediate, and pay doesn’t always reflect the impact we make. As a mentor, I focus on helping designers build the confidence, clarity, and strategic mindset needed to change that: to advocate for themselves, show measurable value, increase salaries, and elevate how design is appreciated within teams and organizations.
