Leadership is the ability to manage change, in a complex environment. This statement has been my guiding mantra in my journey as a leader and Head of Design in my current role. Design is no longer just a profession but rather a vehicle I’m using to affect positive change around me by developing systems and frameworks that enable the wider team I lead to grow as designers and change makers.
I’m a Digital Strategist and Creative Director & with over 12 years experience of working in the advertising, digital and product design industry in both East Africa and the United Kingdom with a passion for creating products and services that emotionally connect and better serve people by employing insights that yield results.
I have championed teams that have created award winning content and campaigns on international scale for companies such as AB InBev trough their flagship brands such as Kilimanjaro premium Lager, Safari lager as well as Telecommunication brands such as Vodacom Tanzania, NMB Bank Plc, in my current position.
Aside from my professional achievement I also have interests in dance and Art, doubling down as a painter and often cross apply the notions and best practice through to my design practice. I believe I can add a new perspective as a mentor and a great asset in continuing to building and shaping the design culture by leading and mentoring a new wave of creative minds especially across Africa.
