Freelance UX/UI & Product Designer at Freelance

About Lucas

Lucas Rappart is a Self-taught Freelance Product and UX/UI Designer with 8 years of experience based between Switzerland and Bangkok.

Lucas provides design sprints, user experience and interface design for fast-growing startups and international companies including Nestlé, Le Temps, Dentsply Sirona and Foodhack.

His work spans Fintech, Medtech, Media, Food, Automotive and SaaS, for Fortune 500 teams and early-stage startups alike, shaping the interfaces people actually use.

He works directly with founders: understanding what users are stuck on, deciding what to build, and shipping products that generate revenue.

8+ years in design, 4 of them freelance, built from scratch, he's dealt with the parts nobody prepares you for:

Finding clients Pricing on value delivered Delivering better work in less time

His coaching comes out of what he's tested on real projects. It's for designers who take action, stay accountable, don't blame the market or the client, and are ready to invest real time and money in their career.

Sessions with Lucas Rappart

  • Freelance Deep Dive (4 seats/month) (30 min): 4 seats a month. One per week. When they're gone, the next window opens next month. This session is for freelancers who are done collecting advice and want a decision. Two tracks: 1. START — Land your first clients, price your work without guessing, build an offer people actually say yes to. 2. SCALE — Break the day-rate ceiling: positioning, retainers, raising your rates without losing clients, and turning down the work that keeps you small. How it Works: You send me your real situation before we meet — numbers, current offer, pipeline. I show up prepared. We spend the whole session on your actual bottleneck, not on introductions. You leave with a written plan for your next 30 days. Who I want in these seats: People who treat freelancing as a business and are ready to invest in it. Time, money, and the discomfort of changing what isn't working. Who this isn't for: "pick your brain" chats, people looking for a salaried job dreaming of freelancing but never take actions, or anyone who wants a template instead of a strategy. Book with a specific question and one line on where you're stuck. Vague requests get declined, I keep these seats for people who arrive with something to work on.

What mentees say

“I have worked with a few design/software coaches, and the thing that makes Lucas stand out from the rest is that he is direct and acknowledges that coaching only works if you work. He won't just come to each session with content he thinks is important. He explores the outputs YOU want then uses his experience to guide you towards them.”

Owen Lee, Software Engineer | Aspiring Freelance at SpatialOne

“I had such a valuable and inspiring session with Lucas! Lucas shared his own journey and also gave me incredibly practical, honest advice on navigating the current UX market. From portfolio tips to AI tools and client outreach, his insights were incredibly helpful.”

Yashi Huang, Product Manager at Finance professional pivoting to product management/design

“This guy is the perfect mentor for freelancers. Helped me overcome imposter syndrome, showed real examples of his work to explain his advice and has a really good personalized tips for my questions. Handled the meeting very well with even a questionnaire before to better understand me and really took the time to listen to me and explain in detail. I will definitely schedule more sessions :)”
