Side-project.

Actijoy is a smart system of a tracker & wifi bowls for dogs and apps for their owners. Helped my friends with the design (branding, product, website, iOS/Android & desktop apps, etc.)

I have built and lead a multi-disciplinary (Product Design, UX Research & Writing, Visual, Brand, Motion) team of designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and removing roadblocks.

I chart a course to a unified, beautiful, and engaging experience across everything connected to Socialbakers.

Went through all the stages and ups & downs of transforming a startup (40 employees) into a mature company (600+ employees).

Face It was a small design studio - we were focused on webdesign, print and identity. It was sort of a side-project for me, but I loved everything we did:)

When I joined Socialbakers in February 2012 it was an end to this fun endavour:)

A website builder, that still exists! More than 5 000 000 users created their website using eStránky.cz.

150 000+ active real users were using our service every month.

eStránky.cz was for 3 years in TOP 10 of Czech's MRU ranking with 2M+ real visitors/month to websites created by our users and customers.

I was the first full-time employee🙂 We started as a team of 3: a founder, a developer, and me.

My role was to lead the project product-wise: telling developers what to do, improving the application, trying to lead more new users (constantly playing with heatmaps, usage statistics, testing, ...), finding a compromise between our business needs and needs of our users and lot more. I also designed & coded the application and the portal on my own (and redesigned it twice) and was also responsible for all our design templates (100+): finding and hiring designers/coders, reviewing their work, and then implementing those templates into the system.

We grew to 15 employees and a neat recurring income with a great retention (95% of our paying customers renewed every year) but sold it to a pretty clueless corporation that messed it up (lesson learned).

Fun fact: I was, at the beginning, also doing the support (emails & calls with customers) for 3 months. I would encourage all product owners or designers to try it for a while as I knew own product from all sides and I knew what to improve and what to do in future.

This was my own "brand".

Freelancing. Design. Coding. If you remember those years you know that there were almost no super cool buzzword job titles like now. You were a graphic designer, coder, dev, web designer or all of these roles. I would be today probably described as an UX/UI/motion/graphic designer, HTML/CSS coder, frontend dev & junior PHP developer:)

I freelanced for a few years but found out that I need to be part of something more stable - a product or company so when I joined eStránky.cz as a first employee in late 2006, my "freelancing career" was over.
