Hi, I'm Madeleine. I'm a cognitive psychologist by training and I spent over a decade in the assessment industry where I learned how to measure people and their characteristics. I have studied skills acquisition, learning science, cognitive science, human-computer interaction, log data analytics, and assessment science. I have applied these skills to user experience research, usability research, and multiple other research projects designed to understand what is in peoples' heads and what drives their behaviors. As a cognitive scientist, I can help you think about the cognitive theories that can help to guide the questions you are asking and the methods you should use, and I can help you analyze and interpret your data with a human cognition lens, lending scientific rigor to outputs and inferences for stakeholders. As an assessment scientist, I can help you develop or find valid measures of key attributes of your users or customers. And as a learning scientist, I can help you plan your designs to improve and speed learning and look for signatures that real change has occurred as a result of using your products.
