• I lead strategic research projects by identifying business opportunities, working with cross-functional stakeholders, conducting mixed methods research, and delivering actionable product recommendations.

• Built relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support multiple agile product teams.

• Directed Human-Computer Interaction research group. Managed 10 undergraduate research assistants in four different research projects. Research methods included contextual inquiry and ethnographic interviews, surveys, prototype design with Figma, app development, and usability studies. Supervised development of web, mobile, and smartwatch apps.
• Developed and taught User-Centered Design course including contextual inquiry and interviews; ideation and user stories; card sorting; iterative design and prototyping using Balsamiq, Figma, and Adobe XD; responsive front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript; evaluation and think-aloud usability studies.
• Designed and taught introductory computer science course (programming in Python) and a liberal arts course (Community and Identity on the Internet).

• Taught Intro to User-Centered Design course in Master of Human-Computer Interaction degree program. Course covered contextual inquiry, user stories, ideation, design, card sorting, prototyping, usability testing.

• Worked with John Tang and the neXus group. 
• Conducted qualitative mixed-method research study of teenager’s use of group messaging, using surveys and ethnographic interviews. 
• Presented findings to internal stakeholders and authored white paper.

• Member of Social Media Lab run by Professor Jeremy Birnholtz. Funded by a NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. PhD candidate in Technology & Social Behavior, a joint doctoral program combining computer science and communication studies.
• Conducted HCI research. Applied both qualitative and quantitative methods including interviews, surveys, and direct logging of mobile phone data using custom-developed Android apps. 
• Designed and developed full-stack web and mobile applications for research data collection. Working independently on some projects and on others collaborating with other developers.
• Managed projects with interdisciplinary teams across departments and institutions. Supervised 12 undergraduate and masters student research assistants. Resulting in five peer-reviewed scientific articles and international conference presentations.

• PhD student in Cornell University's Information Science department. Worked with Professors Jeremy Birnholtz and Jeff Hancock in the Social Media Lab.
• Conducted HCI research using both qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys and ethnographic interviews. 
• Supervised design and full-stack development of mobile and web applications for research data collection. 
• Managed projects involving faculty, staff, and students. Supervised 12 research assistants, undergraduate and masters students.
