Breaking into tech

•  Support for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB databases in recurring problems, incidents and scheduled changes through remote access and through AWS and RDS Aurora. 
•  Use of Scrum and Agile method to respond to calls and continuously improve work and the customer environment (Daily Huddle, Postmortem, Sprint Planning) 
•  Working during the early morning shift for Brazilian and international clients focusing mainly on emergency cases and changes. 
•  Transferring knowledge to the team, documenting procedures for known cases of problems, gathering requirements for changes, recurring analysis of environments for continuous improvement.

• Administering and supporting migrationg from DB2 Mainframe to LUW.
• Working with space management, performance control in DB2 (query performance or configuration adjustment given that DDL or DB configuration) and the server itself (with the help of the server logs, top tool, db2top tool, Database Management Console tool, administrative queries and Tivoli Monitoring).

•	Resolved critical production issues for enterprise customers (e.g. database crashes, hangs, and performance degrada-tions); provided technical assistance to experienced DBAs
•	Offered recommendations for customers’ database tuning, disaster recovery strategies, and migration plans
•	Cooperated in creating the document called “Troubleshooting DB2 Servers” for the DeveloperWorks
•	Created and updated IBM self-help materials (e.g. IBM technotes, defect notifications, product documentation)
•	“On-site” experience in installing PureScale product to customers like “Banco do Brasil” and “Superior Tribunal de Jus-tiça” improving their internal process due the high scalability, availability and performance of the product. On average, performance improved around 40% during the test phase.
•	Provided PureScale training to a group close to 30 people for the IBM lab.

•	Reported to management leader for the DB2 Database Administrators for internal customers team in Brazil
•	Database administration support on DB2 databases for internal customers (departments at IBM) and external custom-ers being Amex and Target one of the main ones.
•	Worked on tickets opened by customers through the IBM internal website support or by the Tivoli System Automation (TSA) which detected issues on the server or the database. Common cases: File System full or above the threshold, automatic backup or backup failures, Tablespace Full, etc.
•	Implemented and maintained: Disaster Recovery (HADR as the main one), Replication, Backup and Recovery.
•	Installation and administration of the DB2 product on the servers, instance, database and table creation, security and access.
•	Provided training to the DB2 Database Administrators team (around 20 people) on the main tools used: TSA, db2top, Governor. With the intent to improve the already existing processes used on the databases supported.

•	Reported to the team leader and coach.
•	Support and administration of DB2 databases to internal customers (IBM departments)
•	Attending customers that opened tickets through the internal website or automatically opened tickets through the TSA tool
•	Installation of the DB2 product on the servers, instance creation, database structure, security and accesses.

•	Reported to the coordinator of the support team.
•	Provided support to customers on the Fabrik system (coded in Visual Basic) and worked on the main database In-formix database by managing the accesses and table structures using SQL language.
•	Used ITIL processes to provide customer support.
•	Developed in Visual Basic to work on system issues/defects and documented the changes.
•	Support to problems on the reports generated by the Crystal Reports.
