• Led a team of private equity analysts to source deals, conduct due diligence and financial analysis, build models using discounted cash flow, and decision making using leveraged buyout principles.
• 16 analysts managed, resulting in sourcing 800+ sellers, and shortlisted 6 deals for the final decision stage.

Key learnings: Financial expertise in private equity-led M&A, improved leadership and coaching skills outside of my domain experience, and insights into decision-making processes and sales pitch strategies.

• Took ownership of the company, overseeing a turnaround strategy to position it for acquisition leading to late-stage discussions with 3 strategic acquirers in 6 months and resulting in 1 offer. 
• Restructured the organization including rebuilding the finance and operations team, implemented a strategy to streamline direct sales and revive inactive users, and enhance technical IP to prepare for acquisition. 
• Generated $1.4M in sales in just 10 months with 3 salesperson teams. Maintained healthy relationships with creditors to minimize the cash outflow. Maintained zero churns despite significant challenges.

Key learnings: Stakeholder (board, investors & creditors) management, financial planning & analysis, revenue forecasting, experience in M&A and asset sale process, and corporate governance.

During my tenure, I have had the pleasure to work with many young entrepreneurs and founders at an early stage of the companies to establish and sustain new business startups. The companies that I advised are Rosor, Tiny Voice Creations, and GrassrootBiotics.

• Work with the team to identify and reflect on specific goals and actions needed in order to execute the plans set out

• Recognize and celebrate the progress made by the team, and provide continuous encouragement to sustain the motivation of the young entrepreneurs

• Joined at the pre-seed stage to commercialize the flagship product in less than a year. Defined product and research road map, positioned the company as a technology leader, and set up manufacturing operations. 
• Produced the fastest (150%) and most effective (250%) sanitization device compared to the nearest competition. First and only product approved by Health Canada with IoT/Cloud SaaS capabilities.
• Help raise $12M through equity rounds, public grants, and tax credits. 
• Introduced 2 new hardware, 1 software, and 1 integration product, and filed 3 patents. Scaled the team by 12x and manufacturing by 20x, while adding 2 new factories during the height of the pandemic.
• Built and led a cross-functional technology team of hardware and software engineers. Introduced product management and clinical research teams. Coached directors and managers in effective people leadership, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration and enabling the team to excel.

Key learnings: Scaling interdisciplinary technology teams and manufacturing capacity, building products with complex technologies in an uncertain regulatory environment, and raising capital.

• Established the supply chain strategy for the company, sourcing and selecting contract manufacturers and suppliers. Vetted 5+ CMs and 50+ suppliers. 
• Led all aspects of the manufacturing efforts taking the product from proof of concept to commercialization in under 12 months
• Implemented a culture of excellence across the organization, building quality management systems and logistics from suppliers to warehouses in North America. 
• Built capital strategy for the organization in line with the fundraising plans and go-to-market timelines and worked closely with the COO & CEO of the company.

• CoinValue is a Toronto-Bangalore-based startup aiming to address the growing needs for cash (coins) management in India. 
• Developed working proof of concept to sort coins in India combing hardware and machine learning capabilities. The first prototype produced greater than 99% accuracy in coin recognition and sorting. 
• Closely worked with electronics and software teams to implement AI/ML outcomes to hardware systems.

Key learnings: Starting a company from ground zero, opportunity validation, and building a business model.

• Served clients in MedTech, defense, and consumer industries generating over $1.7 M in annual billable hours, and help clients build 3 new products during my tenure. 
• Generated RFQ proposals, and led the team to provide engineering services from concept to commercialization. 
• Developed project management framework for accurate estimation of time and cost and effective client communication. Achieved > 95% compliance with forecasted timelines and budget.

Key learnings: Cost and time forecasting, client communications, and exposure to the defense industry.

• Designed and developed thermal management solutions for microprocessor and lighting applications. Developed a library of correlation between theoretical simulations and real-world use cases. 
• Establish an R&D department to develop new solution offerings, led the development of new UltraCool solutions for PCIe cards.
