Head of APAC Strategy & Innovation at Deutsche Bank
Marcus is Head of APAC Strategy & Innovation at Deutsche Bank. He is based in Singapore having relocated from London in 2018 to launch and lead region-wide innovation efforts. In collaboration with his team and stakeholders, Marcus drives strategic partnerships with startups aligned to business and client needs. His team also designs and runs education programmes which support colleagues in acquiring digital skills and embracing entrepreneurial and innovative mindsets.
Prior experience in the UK saw Marcus work in a number of roles spanning corporate innovation, strategy and venture capital with organisations such as Deutsche Bank, Telefónica/Wayra and The Royal Household. Marcus was also featured in Business Insider's UK FinTech 35 under 35 list demonstrating his active links and participation in the external innovation ecosystem.
Outside of work, Marcus is a Non-Executive Director of London-based social enterprise Debate Mate. He has been working with the organisation since it was founded in 2008 with a mission to power social change through world-class communication training. Marcus enjoys travelling and interacting with new cultures, food and people.
Marcus graduated from University College London (UCL) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages (French & German). His international outlook has underpinned experiences of living, studying and working in Berlin, Brussels, London, Montpellier, Paris and Singapore.
