About Maria (Masha) Govayzina

Associate Director Technology and Transformation at Deloitte NZ

Kia ora, I’m Masha. I moved to Wellington from Manchester, UK, about two years ago and work at Deloitte in the Technology & Transformation space. I lead strategy and operating model development for technology teams as well as discovery and delivery of tech solutions for public and private sector clients, with a focus on aligning people and processes so technology has real impact and delivers value. I love working with passionate teams to solve big problems that make a difference in communities.

My career has taken a “squiggly” path from hotel management to commercial roles, then into tech as a product manager for platforms like ML pricing engines and energy trading optimisation tools. My life’s been just as global, from my native Russia to Algeria, China, the Netherlands, UK, and now New Zealand.

I am happy to support you with career change and dealing with change in general, discuss platform and tech product management, technology leadership and technology transformation practices, how to build and maintain technology teams, mature capabilities and deliver more value to the business.
