Led design operations for team of five, working with twenty front-end developers. Coordinated UX improvements for code migration and UI unification efforts, as well as new feature and product design. Streamlined process by moving to Framer (from Sketch-Abstract-Zeplin), this improved the design system and our prototyping, and facilitated live collaboration with developers. Led user research and design for next-generation network topology visualization and traffic visibility applications for both cloud and physical products. Conducted primary research on expert users of traffic visibility tools, focusing on information-dense interfaces—including complex tables, charts, diagrams, deep navigation hierarchies, and no-code, setup-assistant-style workflows.

Helped re-design the info architecture for Haus.com in the real-estate / fintech space. Designed experiences around home-ownership dashboards and managed all things creative for a small startup team.

Returned to a former startup in-home entertainment with a new focus on Smart Home. I redesigned the app for better reflow (responsive) on all iOS form factors in landscape and portrait orientation. Much work planning responsive layouts, doing creative direction, setup experience and UX in general. Shipped apps on TvOS, iPhone, iPad, and Watch OS.

Worked on innovation team for David Marcus, evangelized for security-by-design, Mobile-First, Lean UX, Agile, CDI, and A/B experimentation in collaboration with verticals. Designed checkout and payment flows for mWeb and Web. I helped roll out PayPal's version of one-click checkout, on-boarding flows, security design and credit applications. I helped improve the credit sign-up flow by 2x and reduce customer detraction for the PayPal Credit business unit.

Designed public key encryption apps for expert and enterprise users. I established the design and user research processes for 100-person startup. We hit record growth yearly until acquired by Symantec in 2010. Shipping on Web, MacOS, Windows, and iOS To scale the company I managed our user experience, from product interaction and visual design to facilitating usability studies which we conducted on-site with customers. I had one direct report UX designer and managed resources and external contracts.
