About Marwan Ashraf
Senior Data analyst/Risk analyst at Tabby
I'm a Senior Risk Data Analyst at Tabby, one of the leading fintechs in the MENA region, with more than 6 years of experience — working with data every day to drive real business decisions through Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and applied analytics. I know exactly how hard it is to break into data from this side of the world: what Gulf hiring managers actually screen for, what makes a portfolio stand out versus get skipped, and how to position yourself when you're competing in one of the most international job markets on earth. I see the hiring side from inside a fast-growing fintech — and I mentor from that reality, not from theory. I also teach data analysis courses to engineering students and run Data Journey with Marwan, an Arabic-language data education brand — because I believe the Arab world deserves world-class data content in its own language. Come to me for: Breaking into data analytics (career changers and fresh grads welcome) CV and LinkedIn reviews tuned for UAE and Gulf market hiring Portfolio projects that actually impress recruiters SQL / Power BI / dashboard skill roadmaps — what to learn, in what order Interview prep, including risk and fintech analytics roles Navigating the data job market as an Arabic speaker (sessions in Arabic or English)
