About Mati Ferrero

Design Manager at Zalando

Hi, I'm Mati. Design Manager @ Zalando.

I am a many-hats-kind-of designer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now living and working in Berlin, Germany.

I have worked in big and small companies, as a solo designer and as part of a large team.

I have been lucky enough to work across multiple countries and industries, and have seen first hand what facilitation and coaching can do for people all across the board. Designers and non-designers alike.

Today, I lead teams focused on improving user experiences at Zalando.

And I am also the host of Service Design Drinks Berlin (sddberlin.com)

What mentees say

“I had an insightful and great session with Mati today and I am looking forward to getting mentored by him again to learn from his huge amount of experience. He is so supportive and smart. He gave me some tips that can help me when I have my challenges. I appreciate his time and would like to keep in touch with him. Thank you so much!”

Gamze Bozkurt, Data Driven Designer at University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (NL)

“I had a discovery/intro session with Mati last week. He was a strong listener who provided precise and rich feedback on how I communicated my experiences. By drawing on his own experiences in industry when discussing my goals and aspirations, I left the session feeling motivated. I look forward to getting back in touch with him in due course.”

Adnan Naqvi, Interaction Design at University of the Arts, London

“Mati is a very friendly person, easy to talk to. He provided feedback on my portfolio website; the session was quite insightful. He pointed out some things I hadn’t even considered and gave several suggestions on how they could be improved. I’d highly recommend Mati!”
