Hi, I’m Matt, a behavioral scientist and social psychologist with over a decade of experience applying quantitative psychology to real-world behavior change. My career has spanned academia, health tech, martech, and recently fintech in wellness — I love building frameworks and leading cross-functional teams to translate behavioral science into product strategy, intervention design, and user engagement.

I’m currently building the behavioral science design function at Rate, a fintech company in the financial wellness space. My expertise includes behavioral intervention design, social psychology, motivation and self-regulation, advanced research methods, and using behavioral insights to drive measurable product engagement and retention outcomes.

I’m passionate about mentoring early professionals — whether you’re transitioning from academia to industry, learning to apply behavioral science in a business context, or figuring out how to do rigorous work inside a complex organization.
