Lyra Health is the leading provider of Workforce Mental Health benefits, available to more than 15 million people globally. Lyra is transforming access to life-changing mental health care using AI-powered provider matching, personalized support, and a digital platform to deliver evidence-based support for individuals and teams. Lyra quickly connects members to an exclusive network of mental health providers and well-being tools to address every mental health need and deliver positive outcomes across race and ethnicity. Independent peer-reviewed research confirms that Lyra’s transformative care model helps people recover twice as fast.

HippityPip uses music and animation to teach life skills to preschool-aged children. Our flagship product is a music platform that generates a custom mnemonic song to teach tens of thousands of kids their parent or guardian’s phone number. The song is created entirely on the device allowing complete privacy and security. Our music was composed by popular children’s recording artist and educator, Bobby Beetcut, with original characters design by artists from Disney and Spin Master.

At FutureAdvisor, my team of PMs and designers were responsible for delivering solutions across the entire business including the private-labeled partners, core product experience, and investment technology. FutureAdvisor (Y-Combinator 2010) is a leading financial advisory firm marrying the best of technology and human advisors. Conceived as a direct-to-consumer product, FutureAdvisor evolved into a private-label SaaS provider of robo-advice technology for large financial firms. In 2015, BlackRock acquired FutureAdvisor.

As Hightail’s CPO, I led the product vision and execution for their suite of professional collaboration products supporting more than 45M users across small businesses, enterprises, and private-labeled partnerships. Hightail started life as YouSendIt, a simple site to upload and share files too large for email attachments. As our product offering expanded from initially only sending large files into products like cloud storage, e-signatures, and enterprise-grade security, we rebranded the company to reflect this new, broader direction. For the rebrand, my team redesigned the visual brand identity including everything from a new logo system to a complete product refresh. As the legacy business receded, I led a pivot to launch an end-to-end collaboration environment, called Hightail Spaces, which ultimately became their core business.

I was brought to AOL to refocus the company on building consumer-centric products by fixing the struggling product management and UX functions. Highlights of my team's work included creating product & hiring standards, developing educational programs, and launching an internal site to track and publicize the myriad “broken experiences” on the AOL network. Instead of merely preaching the gospel of consumer-centric products, we acted as product managers, designers (and sometimes developers) for strategic projects across the company including the TechCrunch redesign, launching Patch user blogs, and relaunching the company-wide Intranet.

In addition to my Consumer Experience duties, I took on other projects including being the interim GM of commerce for nine-months and managing the creation of a super-secret platform for generating relevant content experiences.

I oversaw the user experience teams for the communication and community products including Mail, Messenger, Voice, Profiles, Groups, Bix, and Flickr.

Yahoo! acquired Bix.com in November 2006.

I led the group responsible for the user experience of Yahoo!'s cross-platform instant messaging, real-time communication, and VoIP products. While maintaining considerable critical and user acclaim, I led the effort to introduce scalable monetization that ultimately turned the business profitable.

Initially, I was the sole designer for the Yahoo! Enterprise business unit, which was tasked with adapting Yahoo products for business users. As we expanded our offering, I hired and led a four-person interdisciplinary user experience team. My team was responsible for the user experience of our portal software, a customizable toolbar, a secure instant messaging client, and many more never released (but pretty amazing) products.

Liveprint provided small business owners with high-quality, customized business cards and stationery through a simple online wizard. After a strategic investment from Kinkos, we changed our name to kinkos.com, and became the web-presence for their network of stores. The products that I led included a graphic upload tool that increased the resolution on logos from screen to press-ready and Print2Kinkos, a web-based application to upload documents for printing, binding, and pickup from Kinkos. Ultimately, the company was disbanded when Kinkos, Inc. purchased the remaining interest and relocated the online effort to their company headquarters.

At the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), a global non-proﬁt membership organization, I managed the design, content, and development of their website and all member email communication. Additionally, I designed original logos, marketing materials, advertisements, and interactive presentations for use on the Internet, in email, and in print publications.
