Head of UX & Design at ITML
I lead UX and design at ITML in Athens, where I built the design function from scratch: hired the team, set its standards, and grew it into the group that now handles research, interaction design and design systems across ITML's consulting work for public bodies, EU institutions and large enterprises, and across its own products. Before that, fourteen years at OTE/COSMOTE leading the digital interfaces and UX team. Eighteen years in total, research to launch.
I wrote Web and Mobile Accessibility: A Comprehensive Guide to WCAG 2.2, the ADA, and the European Accessibility Act (2026) — details, contents and a sample chapter at uxellence.gr/book.
Worth booking me for: getting your first UX role, or your first lead role; building a design function inside a company that has never had one; running research when nobody will give you users; design systems that survive contact with engineering; and accessibility, including what the European Accessibility Act now requires.
Come with a specific problem rather than a general one and you'll get more out of the half hour. I'll give you a straight answer rather than an encouraging one.
“It was great to talk with Matthaios. He is very experienced knowledgeable, and has a nice, approachable and positive attitude. He helped me see some of my concerns in a more positive light, and gave me very insightful tips from his experience. I really recommend Matthaios as a mentor!”
“In the last 30 minutes, what I learned from him, if I can apply it to my life, I believe I can overcome my problem. Thank you so much, sir. Highly recommended.”
