About Matthew Muenzer

I'm an interaction designer currently working on Gumband, a platform for managing, monitoring, and measuring interactive experiences. Gumband is a small startup-like company, where I've had the chance to create, hire for, and lead a Design team since 2022. I work with two more junior designers. Our collaborations and the opportunity for me to offer mentorship, both based in design faculty and my past professional experiences, has been hugely rewarding for me.

Before joining Gumband, I earned my Master's in Interaction Design at Carnegie Mellon's School of Design after working for several years as a data analytics professional. While in my current position, I have returned to CMU for design crits, career days, and other opportunities to help younger or more junior students and professionals. I would love to continue those efforts with ADPList where I can lend any support to those looking for more exposure to industry experience, figuring out their next steps, or needing some advice for growing as a designer. It's been a fulfilling experience to carve out a new niche for Gumband's design team, which breaks from some industry norms to improve the way we work, and I hope my perspective and support can help others on their path!
