In me, the difference is made by my heart. It's the engine of my contagious passion, a constant energy I love to share. I speak a lot, move even more, gesture, and communicate with visual metaphors, seeking systematic confrontation and challenge in everything. I enjoy listening what others think to be inspired.
That's how my first job as an assistant to a carpenter began, intrigued by the ease of shaping and creating with such noble raw material. Those summers sparked creativity and practicality in me. Then came the university period and freelancing in design.
Hired by Disney to oversee the inception of the then-new digital publishing world and the www within the world's largest media conglomerate, I simultaneously founded Diedlastnight, the first and then most significant Italian trend hunting magazine and digital platform.
In 2010, I moved to New York for a sabbatical year; photography and boxing were my daily companions. Back in Italy, the following years were dedicated to agency work: marketing strategy, gamification, and business development were my areas of action.
Then came the desire to focus on a single brand, and I arrived at Eataly, where I first led the development of the international brand throughout EMEA and now oversee its global creative direction.
โThe conversation with Mattia was super useful and interesting. He gave me valuable and effective advice for my career and helped me better understand my next steps as a designer. I would definitely say heโs also very friendly, approachable, and a supportive mentor! Thanks, Mattia :)โ
